Candice Grella was born and raised in Myrtle Beach, and with the exception of a few years spent moving around as a military spouse, Candice’s roots have always remained firmly planted in Horry County. After spending close to fifteen years in Conway, she moved to Loris almost 5 years ago and purchased a historic home on Main Street following the devastating flooding of her former home along the Waccamaw River.
A proud mother of a Loris High School graduate, Candice understands the hopes and challenges of raising a family in this community. She became a teenage mother, and through determination and perseverance, has built a life of service, leadership, and professional success. Her experience as her son’s Cub Scout den and pack leader allowed her to mentor youth, instill values of responsibility, and strengthen community ties.
Candice has dedicated herself to civic service as a certified poll manager and clerk, ensuring fair and transparent elections. She has also been a strong advocate for her neighbors, playing an active role in rallying the community around issues such as the recent Heritage Lakes development annexation request. Most recently, she became a founding member of the Loris chapter of Lions International Club, extending her commitment to serving others in new and impactful ways.
Professionally, Candice began her career in Myrtle Beach call centers, where she managed operations and gained valuable leadership experience. Through hard work and focus, she now serves as a Senior Technical Account Manager for a global contact center software company, specializing in helping large financial organizations improve efficiency and reduce waste. Her personal journey also reflects perseverance—she has successfully lost 150 pounds, demonstrating discipline and resilience that she brings into every aspect of her life.
Today, as a candidate for Loris City Council, Candice continues her lifelong dedication to the community she loves. With a focus on responsible growth, transparent leadership, and community engagement, she is committed to ensuring that Loris remains a place where families can thrive, businesses can succeed, and neighbors can rely on one another.
